My phone distractions from calls and text have got me throwing my phone across the room when i'm busy. Just having to pull the phone out of my pocket so many times has made me want to disconnect entirely. However we know we can't, kids, elderly parents, car break downs, you just can't go back in time especially for emergencies. Doing a lot of hobbies and remodeling it really is distracting having to walk over to the phone or pull it out of my pocket in the middle of doing something tons of times a day, very easy to miss important time critical family stuff or deliveries when doing remodeling work.That said here's the deal, i don't use the health tracking on this, I have gotten to where i monitor steps sorta as an aside.I use it for is who's calling me, who's texting me so i can quickly turn my wrist look and choose if i want to be distracted. Couple of things there, you can't scroll the full text or email like you can on an iPhone, i'm good with that i'm mostly looking for the quick summary but it could be a limiting feature. Much safer also to glance at your wrist instead of phone too in the car.Bluetooth calling and receiving work. I like the 100's of watch faces the default one is kinda corny. Integrates with push from many apps including telegram...which there was an active community of providing those with a plugin in some way or 'app' store sort of thing but there's not.Battery life seems really good I've been wearing mine a few days without charging, seems to vary depending on how much use voice,etc via bluetooth. I would not expect more than a few days from heavy use. Screen brightness is great. Display wake up works very well, sometimes it seems very brief until i lift my arm again at which point it stays on the setting I chose...that may be a technique or setting i haven't figured out or just a quirk. It will come on 1 second, then i have to perform the arm motion again.Not particularly thin, think divers watch, chronograph thickness and size (see my photos), i normally wear a classic Seiko divers so i'm used to larger watches. But it's very light and the band is very soft.You have to download an app to setup the phone connection, choose units (imperial/metric, feet meters,Celsius vs Fahrenheit,etc). For weather forecast (not current) you have to give the app permission to follow your location (i don't do that). You can select contacts to add from your phone instead of providing the whole permission.You can't compare this watch to an apple or samsung, that would not be a fair comparison, but based on the screen clarity , features, battery life, and basic functions, and product description accuracy it's very good to give it a 5 star which means it meets my expectations when i clicked buy, it's turned out super useful and i wear it most of the time now. I also am doing lots of remodeling, it's not going to make me cry if i accidentally break this vs a more expensive watch with features i wouldn't use.Update 12/30/2004 review stands, It's so much saner not having to lift my phone so many times in the middle of projects, wearing this is a daily requirement now for that. My elderly mom must call 20 times a day driving me nuts, i just glance at the watch now to see who it is. I'm even using the step counter to compete with my wife and her apple watch. A few things i didn't mention, you can't scroll entire messages like an apple watch, but the summary is good enough for my purposes.
