To get required sensitivity, the antenna must be tuned to 500kHz. I found that the combination of capacitors on the board (1089pF + 100pF) and the MA5532 coil would only reach to 476kHz. I had to manually change the SMD caps for a total value of 920pF (as opposed to original 1189pF). After this change things worked perfectly.So, if you have one of these boards, and find it insensitive, or can't tune the antenna, this is the problem.
