Out of the box I wore these on a 3 mile walk. They fit perfectly with no portion of the uppers rubbing irritatingly on my ankles. I’ve had many walking and hiking boots over the past 30 years. Seeing the comments from others about poor construction of Rockports and short life, I wonder if those customers are aware that any product needs the proper care to last.I have no complaint about these walking shoes. I highly recommend them.I have wide feet, so fit is important. These shoes are comfortable and a great choice for casual wear.These shoes are what I've been looking for. Comfort, Light weight, Good design,. I have bad feet and these are designed to give good support. Will probably look at Rockport Shoes in other choices. I have been using another brand that has not satisfied my feet but these work for me.comfortable and light weight. Fit a bit wider than expected. And it gets warmer than I like but I wear them for long periods and walk several miles in them.Nice looking and very comfortable.
