I used to LOVE the original Candies when it was first introduced, and my nostalgia got the best of me when I saw this scent (I also bought the original scent from the same manufacturer here on Amazon).I was really excited to get it, but the first time I sprayed it, it immediately took me to a truck stop restroom off the highway. It almost has an “air freshener mixed with urinal cake” smell, and is very sweet up front, with a dry down that gets much nicer. When this stuff dries, it has a pleasant smell...hard to describe it, but to me, it smells more flowery/powdery.I actually kinda like the scent of this. It projects like crazy for a long while, and takes time before the dry down, and to stop choking people out around you. This was a complete blind buy for me. as there were no reviews of this fragrance when I purchased it.I can’t recommend it for everyone, but it’s an extremely strong performer, and it’s not too much money. The closest fragrance that I have smelled to this is YSL’s La Nuit De’ L’Homme, but it’s much sweeter than the YSL. It’s just in that family. YSL smells more refined and expensive, but the Candies would be OK for a young kid/teenager. It’s not seductive, like the YSL is.I suppose you can say it’s La Nuit De’ L’Homme mixed with Invictus by Paco Rabanne. It has a real bubblegum pop up front, that lasts and lasts. It stays sweet until the end.
