I'm not a nurse but I was looking for the perfect lightweight jacket to go from Spring into Summer, and this is it!I saw a review calling this stiff and scratchy, and while it's not super soft cotton it is not stiff and stretches/flexes well. For what is worth, this is some of the softest rip-stop nylon I've felt.In terms of fit, if you're used to Carhartt sizing it's a little smaller than normal, which may still make it a bigger fit than other brands. I got a Large and I usually have to get an XL for the beer belly, but the large fits perfect if not a little tight when zipped up. Most jacket sleeves are usually too long for me, but this one is the perfect length (which might be too short for some that size down.)In terms of Pros there's a lot to like: huge pockets, I can fit my stretched open hands in the side pockets and still have my wrists covered! It even has a pen pocket and a side-zippered chest pocket.Very lightweight fabric, and they even put mesh strategically in spots instead of being a full mesh lining, which makes this even lighter since the main layer without lining is almost translucent in the sun! Mesh and vents on the back and armpit holes, this is a really well thought out jacket! The only con I can really think of is that I wish the bottom has elastic like the neck and sleeves, only so it looked a little more like a traditional bomber jacket. Because of that, how lightweight it is, and how close-fitting it is, this is kind of like a shirt jacket/shacket version of a bomber jacket. Hope they restock sizes so I can buy a backup!
