All exceded my husband's expectations except the memory foam. It didn't last as long as claimed.I read all the reviews folks had posted, and I ordered an entire size down from my normal shoe. They were still a bit large. After about four weeks the heel of the shoe was squished like an accordion, and I couldn't pull it back into place without it falling over again. I had only worn them as full shoes and not as sandals, so I'm not sure why that occurred. It was past the return window from Amazon so I contacted Olukai directly. They were fantastic and shipped me a replacement pair free of charge, and in a half-size smaller. It's been about another month and so far this pair doesn't show any wear/tear, the heel is still in great shape, no sagging. They feel as comfortable as the first pair I bought and I highly recommend them. The customer service team at Olukai was terrific and I would totally buy from them again.I have high arches and use a Dr Schulz arch suport that make these fir perfectly.I love these shoes. Due to arch problems, I tend to purchase Birkenstocks and New Balance foot wear. I love Birk sandals, but am not too fond of their closed toe shoes. I had learned about Olukai, and needed to check them out. I'm so glad I did.In regards to this particular pair (Olukai Nohea mesh, dark shadow) the top is a gray color. At times on my computer monitor, they looked more bluish, but I saw them in person at a store, and they are more gray. I tried them on at the store. I usually wear a 9 or 10 men's shoe. These were definitely better as 9's. I had also tried a similar pair on at the store (a tan leather pair) they were better as size 9's as well. I had purchased them from the store. As I wore them around the house, and going out to run errands for a few days, I realized that these are really comfortable shoes for me, so I decided to purchase these as well for a trip I'm going on. They are good with or without socks.Came across these while looking for slippers and they are wonderful. Mesh is breathable, and shoe is super comfortable. Manufacturer really paid very close attention to covering all potentially abrasive edges, so these are perfect for bare feet.I got the size 12 (my feet are 11.5 US), since others reported they run a bit small, but wondering if the 11.5 might have actually been correct for me. They are a bit loose, but don't fall off when walking, and since I'm using them as slippers, I'm happy with how easily they come on and off my feet. Most people report the factory insole is really great too, but it wasn't quite enough support in my case. Since my Superfeet insoles are significantly thinner than the stock insole that came with the shoe, that also explains why they are a bit looser on my feet. The stock insoles are very shock-absorbant, and are a critical part of the overall shoe design. If I were using them for outside, I'd probably use the stock insoles and make use of amazon's return policy and try the 11.5 size. Still very satisfied with the materials and workmanship, so giving it 5 stars. This is my 7th OluKai, and 3rd Nohea of these. It is very comfortable to wear, provides great comfort, and very durable. I am buying this pair to back up another pair of the same shoes which I wear for the last three years as an everyday walking shoes. Its a bit slippery on the wet surface, though.A few years ago OluKai had the Moloa Kohana fall model which offered leather water-resistant top, but it is no longer available. Wish it was...Amazing shoes! Fit and feel like slippers but I can walk around town all day in them. I went to an amusement park the first day I wore them, walked over 6 miles with no socks, and my feet felt great afterwards. I also love the feature of wearing as a clog for quick on and off. They're not that comfortable on the heel as a clog but if I have to take the trash out or something else minimal they work great. I loved my first pair so much I bought 2 more pair a week after first trying these on. I'm thinking about buying a few more to keep in the closet for the future. I'm a customer for life. The only thing to be aware of if you've never tried them on before is that they have a spacious toe box. My feet are slightly wide so they fit perfect but those with normal to narrow feet may find them to be a little big in the front.I had to go down a full size from my normal shoe size to get a proper fit. At first I loved these shoes, especially the insoles- probably the best stock insoles I've ever experienced. Flat out some of the most comfortable shoes out there. And the mesh breathes super well for warm weather, I never experienced sweaty feet... although it breathes so openly that sand will fall right into your shoe through the loosely knit material- so not an ideal beach shoe. Also wouldn't be good protection for wet weather.I've had these shoes for one year now. The mesh material has stretched out over time, and for the past several months they have felt at least a full size too large, maybe more. I feel like I'm a boy again wearing my dad's shoes... it's nearly that clumsy to walk in them. I put washed them on hot cycle (take inserts out first) and they came out normal size, and I got real excited to love them again. They stretched right back out after just one wearing. I would rate the material poor in this regard. They are too loose to stay on my feet while walking.I had hoped these could be my primary casual street shoe for a long time, but I reluctantly just replaced them with something that will hold onto my foot much better.
