A little thinner than they look in the picture but they are still very warm. I live in Wisconsin and I keep them in my coat, mainly for when I leave my house in the morning and the steering wheel is ice cold. I thought that it would be difficult to drive in what seem to be such slippery gloves but I actually found it very easy, I can still easily steer with one hand. They also go with just about any coat because they are so neutral. North Face never disappoints.I have large hands and ordered XL, but I really wanted to order XXL (based on other glove sizes). However, and thankfully, XXL was not available. As it turned out, XL was fine. In fact, the finger length was a little long. Regardless, they worked well - keeping my hands warm while being able to operate touch-screen tech. The material of the gloves is warm while still being thin, but the fit and the cut are of very low quality. It's a shame, they could have been excellent gloves. Others have noted, and I observe that the tips of the fingers are kind of baggy and fold quite a bit. It happens in a way that points at the design of the gloves rather than them being too big. The hand fits fine but the finger tips are pretty bad. As you can imagine, this mushy fingertip makes the use of the e-tip extremely difficult, and almost not even worth trying to keep your glove on when using your phone. I do not recommend.I bought a L and it is too big in the fingers length wise. I usually need large or x large. My hands are wide not long. For a L these are pretty long. I am thinking M or S now. I think M would be better. There is a lot of tag on one glove. I cut it an now it is scratchy or the way it is sown in. Seem like wool too. I don't know what they are made of but it is not that soft like fleece usually is.Runs large: order 1-2 sizes smaller. The touch-screen fleece covers all fingers, but is hard to use. The glove feels clunky - perhaps if you order 2 sizes down it will work better.North Face calls this 300-weight fleece, but it is the same weight as the 200-weight Arc'teryx Delta (which has much better dexterity and the same lousy wind resistance). There is a dearth of 200-weight fleece gloves out there and no one makes an actual 300-weight one.Knuckles and gripper palm are windproof; the rest is not.Has an articulated fit.A great looking glove. Construction is quality all the way. My only complaint is I am a size large and ordered a large and there is a lot of slop in the fingers that is noticeable. To the point that I need to keep pulling back the glove on my hand. These are warm gloves and quality I would expect from North Face. If I ordered again I would go down a size and they would be perfect. Did I mention a great looking glove?Bought these gloves for my dad. He is almost 80 years old and walks for several hours every morning. He has gone through numerousgloves, that did not keep his hands warm enough. He loves this pair. He lives in Santa Clara, CA so it's not that cold here, buthe has walked in temps in the low 40's and they keep his hands nice and warm.I have a 9" hand stretch, and these gloves fit well. They do not protect against cold well under 30 degrees, so please plan accordingly with them. A wind gust will pierce right through them. They retain moisture a bit. I am overall happy with them...but they are fleece, so gripping your phone or other smooth object might be tricky.Have some NF jackets and fleeces but could not find these in the shops. All the stores had too big or too small, found perfect fit and size thru Amazon. Going to wintry Berlin this December 2015 so they will get use there, the the smartphone addition will help when taking pictures and movies, won't have to take the gloves offVery nice pair of gloves. Unfortunately too big to my hands, despite buying it using the size chart provided. I'd say to try them in a shop before buy them online.Great gloves, they are on the large side. I'm a medium so bought a small .Great product very warm and the advantage of having the fingertips to use my smart phone!I thought they would be warmer
