It's cute... it's quiet... but so far I can't see that it cleans anything particularly well. Gold chains look about the same when they come out as they did going in.Well packaged and very easy to use. I cleaned my glasses with it the time I got this product. It did an excellent job of cleaning the lenses.Don’t waste your time or money on h this one!I own a Magsonic unit, which I use exclusively to clean my glasses (which I typically do at least once a week, and more often if they get dirty... say, after mowing the lawn). My wife wanted to clean jewelry as well as glasses, and while I have been willing to do her glasses, didn't want to do her jewelry in my glasses-cleaning unit. So, I decided to get her one of her own, and she chose this one.To start with, she chose this at least in part due to the color, which she thinks is pretty. Me, I'm happy with my dark grey and silver Magsonic unit, but different ways of seeing the world and all that, right? Some ultrasonic cleaners have plastic baskets which go inside of the metal cleaning tub. This one does not. I like that for mine, as it protects the frame coatings of my glasses from rubbing on the metal basin. This, lacking the basket, isn't something that I'd be likely to use. However, my wife wears plastic or tortoise-shell glasses, not metal-framed ones, so this is a non-issue for her. This is a single-setting unit, but the single setting is really all I ever use on mine, as well... though I do adjust time of cycle depending on how grubby my stuff is, and in her case she may need to run more than one pass to accommodate the same result. This is a minor issue, and not worth detracting from the review rating over. I typically run for 90 seconds... which is what this does by default... but have options for up to six minutes (which I've never used). One thing I like about this, which my own doesn't do, is that it beeps, pretty loudly, at the end of its cycle. Mine just shuts off, and I have on a few occasions forgotten about it until I needed my glasses again. (Yes, that's on ME, not on the device, really, but having that beep would prevent that!)Overall, this is a very nice unit, which cleans well, but which lacks a few of the "nice features" of some other units out there. It rates a good, solid four stars... which as far as I'm concerned is a good rating (though I know some folks think anything other than a five-star is a "bad rating," this is just silly. We have a range of ratings, and not everything is "best of the best with no room for improvement," which is what I consider to be "five-star worthy."This cleaner is easy to use and gets great results when used as directed. But be careful. According to the included directions, there are quite a few limitations on what can be cleaned without risk of damage to the item being cleaned. I was surprised at how many items are incompatible with ultrasonic cleaning, so before putting anything in this cleaner please confirm it isn't made of something that will not survive the cleaning process.I tried it on my year old reading glasses. I try to keep them clean, but the standard cleaning with eye glass cleaner and cleaning cloth obviously isn't nearly as good as this ultrasonic cleaner.I added clean water, dropped in my glasses, plugged the unit into AC power, and pressed the start button. The machine immediately started buzzing, and continued for several minutes before automatically shutting off.I removed my glasses and wiped them down with the included cloth (kind of like a small chamois) and the difference was clear (pun intended). My glasses looked like new and were perfectly clean and bright.I will never consider them really clean again without putting them through this cleaner first. So far, so good. I'm very satisfied with this little cleaner and expect to get years of service out of it as it seems to be well made. If anything changes I'll try to update my review.I hope this helps. Thanks for reading and liking.Came very well packaged, is compact and nice. I added a few drops of Dawn dish soap, knowing my jewelry was dirty from soap/ shampoo/conditioner build up especially my earrings. I had to put the backs of my earing thru 2x, but they did come pretty clean. The braided necklace came some what clean but I know the silver in it is very tarnished and needs silver cleaner. So mainly cleaned out the dirt/ gunk that was in it. The reason for 4 stars is because you have to dig around in the solution to get your items out. I ended up using a fork. No basket or strainer for them. While digging for your small items you end up getting water on the outside.of the machine hence the fork for me! Other than not a pretty good cleaner. This ultrasonic cleaner is perfect for those who have limited space. It's just big enough for a pair of glasses or some small jewelry like rings or chains. It will turn on for five minutes at a time before turning off automatically. You can press the button several times to have it turn back on for further five minute sessions before it will require you to wait several minutes to cool down. This unit doesn't have any heating element, which is to be expected but you will need to supply your own hot water in order to facilitate getting things clean. It's made of plastic but feels solidly built and I don't have any immediate concerns about quality. This works well and as described but it’s size is something you don’t truly realize until you get it, it’s perfect for glasses, or small accessories but that’s about it, nothing wrong with it tho and it works as described, the timer feature is very user friendly and it’s a good product
